For the first time: biotrade serums with retinol for young and healthy skin

The first things are always exciting for everyone involved in the emotion of their creation and experience. This is also true for us, the creators of the Bulgarian series of high-quality dermatological skin care products biotrade. We are excited because at this moment we announce a big step, planned by us and awaited by you, our loyal customers.

The first biotrade anti-aging products with retinol, designed to work for the physiological rejuvenation of the skin, are now here and we can’t wait to introduce them to you!

WHY RETINOL?

Everyone has heard of retinol and many of you have probably considered introducing it into your cosmetic routine, but before you do, we suggest you get acquainted with its types and effects. Retinol is a form of the fat-soluble vitamin A and is proven to be the best and most effective ingredient in cosmetics that delivers real and visible results in anti-age care, fighting fine lines and wrinkles, loss of density, volume, and elasticity.

Its main action is related to stimulating cell regeneration (shedding old cells and forming new ones), which in turn leads to an obvious and long-lasting effect in combating skin aging. At the same time, its use stimulates collagen production and slows its breakdown, which has a rejuvenating and firming effect on the facial skin.

Retinoids can be different – Retinol, Retinaldehyde, Retinyl esters, but all undergo several metabolic transformations after application to the skin to reach their biologically active form – retinoic acid.

Whatever retinoid is applied, it must be converted into retinoic acid to be absorbed by the skin. It is best if this happens after a minimal number of metabolic transformations to avoid losing the ingredient’s effectiveness. We chose for our products to use a next-generation retinoid called hydroxypinacolone, which is a tretinoin ester and does not need to undergo any metabolic steps but directly activates RAR receptors and acts as retinoic acid in the skin.

We know that retinol is possibly the best solution you can give your skin to help it cope with the signs of aging. That is why we developed several new products, with a completely new design and concept, which will help you restore the fresh and healthy look of your skin and deal with the first traces that time leaves on it.

BIOTRADE RETINOL ANTI-WRINKLE SERUMS – 0.2% and 0.5%

To offer a product both for those who already have some experience with retinol and for beginners, we developed two types of serums – with lower and higher retinol concentration.

The serum with 0.2% concentration is suitable for introducing retinol for the first time into the cosmetic routine, especially for people with more sensitive skin. The recommended use is 3 times a week at the beginning, and after 2-3 weeks you can switch to applying it every night. After using one package, it is possible to move on to the higher concentration of 0.5%.

The serum contains a new, fourth-generation retinoid called hydroxypinacolone retinoate, which is distinguished by high effectiveness and fast action without irritating the skin.

It is recommended to apply the serum in the evening (since retinol breaks down under UV light and becomes ineffective), on clean and dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Keep in mind that during the day it is mandatory to use a high-factor sunscreen (SPF 50+), even in winter, because retinol makes the skin photosensitive and prone to hyperpigmentation. Also, you should not use this serum in combination with other products containing retinol in the same routine.

Clinical studies are sufficiently convincing in favor of using biotrade serums.

NIGHT CREAM-MASK WITH RETINOL 0.5%

We have talked a lot about how skin care does not stop at night, so we created this cream-mask as a substitute for night cream when you want to benefit from the action of retinol but also hydrate the skin.

The formula of this gentle mask includes two types of retinol – retinyl palmitate and our special HPR, which together have a complementary effect. But to make the care complete, we also included a probiotic and provitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), which help keep the skin hydrated and calm.

Vitamin B5 plays a key role in maintaining the skin’s natural barrier function. It helps maintain the integrity of the water-lipid barrier, which is important for protecting the skin from external aggressors such as pollutants and irritants. A strong barrier helps prevent moisture loss and maintains overall skin health. This is especially beneficial for people with sensitive or compromised skin, as it can help reduce redness and irritation.

The main action of the cream-mask is to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, even out skin tone, increase skin elasticity, and intensely hydrate it.

Apply it in the evening on clean and dry skin until fully absorbed. You can use it three times a week as the last step in your care routine and instead of night cream. The next day, the use of a sunscreen SPF 50+ is mandatory.
